Pressure

Pressure is force per unit area — but fluid pressure acts in all directions simultaneously. Gauge pressure, absolute pressure, and depth dependence: P = P₀ + ρgh.

Fluids and Newton's Laws

Archimedes meets Newton. Buoyant force is the net upward pressure force on a submerged object — always equal to the weight of fluid displaced. Float or sink depends on average density.

Fluids and Conservation Laws

Moving fluids obey continuity (mass conservation) and Bernoulli's equation (energy conservation). Faster flow means lower pressure — the principle behind wings, carburetors, and the wave outside.
